Refund and Cancellation Policy

You may at any time cancel your policy by giving us ten (10) days notice in writing and delivering to us your certificate(s) of motor insurance or cover note(s). We will then refund part of any unexpired premium due to you provided no claim has arisen during the current period of Insurance. The charge for the expired portion of your insurance will be calculated on the basis of our Short Period rates from the date we receive your certificate(s) or cover note(s). We may cancel your Policy by sending ten (10) days notice by registered letter, electronic mail or recorded delivery to your last known address. You will then be entitled to a proportionate return of premium but you must deliver to us your certificate(s) of motor insurance or cover note(s).

Privacy and Passwords

We gather information about you that may be used to process and service your insurance policy, settle your claims and offer you additional products and services that we think may be of interest to you, and as permitted or directed by you. It may include information such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, vehicle information, driver’s license number, driving history, current or former insurance information, Tax Registration Number , gender, and educational background, date of birth, marital status and GKGOnline web pages visited.

We may disclose such information to GK General Insurance Company Limited Company’s affiliated entities, affiliated and unaffiliated insurance companies, insurance agents, reinsurance companies, and insurance support organizations, such as consumer reporting agencies, government entities, and claims administrators. We may also disclose information to unaffiliated third parties that perform services or functions on our behalf including the marketing of our products or services. Further, we may also disclose information as necessary to affect, administer, or enforce a transaction that you request or authorize.

As a GK General Insurance Company Limited Company policyholder, you may be contacted by us regarding your policy and our products and services, such as billing notices, confirmations of changes, changes to our products, and other GKGOnline-specific communications. Some portions of the Website are protected and require a user identification code ("User ID") and password for access (“Website Credentials”). Unauthorized access or use of such portions of the Website is prohibited. It is your responsibility to ensure the safety and confidentiality of the Website Credentials. Every instruction given by your using the Website and/or after entering the Website Credential shall have the same status and legal value as a written instruction signed by you and we are entitled to act on same without further reference to you or any need to obtain any further verification.
